Renato sold ‘the beast’ for la dolce vita!

Renato’s retirement treat Alfa Romeo sports car eventually had to make way for his motorhome adventures, so he sold it on Motorway.

Renato worked for the Royal Mail in Northamptonshire from the tender age of 16 until he retired. He celebrated with a major treat, and purchased a brand new Alfa Romeo Guilia Quadrifoglio – a nod to his Italian heritage and the very first one sold in his local Northampton Alfa garage.

Driving the luxury sports car, or “the beast” as he called it, across the countryside was a dream come true, but a new dream was on the horizon. Now that their children were settled, Renato and his partner Angela wanted to crisscross Italy, exploring the coastline, ancient villages, and try their hand at living la dolce vita.

They decided the best way to do this would be by motorhome. To kickstart their adventures and purchase their new home on wheels, Renato realised it was time to sell the Alfa Romeo.

Renato and Angela put the funds from Motorway into a quality motorhome. They hoped to get off the beaten path and stumble upon new places, making their Italian holiday that much more of an adventure. Their first stop: Ravello, the town where Renato’s parents are from. The first planned surprise: an engagement ring for Angela!
